Amid the gently rolling hills of Eastern Washington, the Taylor family orchards have been thriving for more than 40 years. Each spring, as far as the eye can see, the white blossoms of cherry trees ripple in the breeze. For Ivan and Corette Taylor and their seven daughters, this fertile farmland is home. Here, we take pride in raising the juicy, ruby red cherries, bursting with nutrients that go into Tart Is Smart™. A love of the land comes naturally to Ivan, a fourth generation farmer, and he has passed this heritage along to his daughters. Together, our family is sharing the bounty of our crops with health-conscious consumers. Our cherry concentrate products, brimming with antioxidants and natural melatonin, promote “healthy mind, healthy body”.So, when you think of Tart Is Smart™, think of the sunny Washington cherry orchards, tended with care for decades by a family whose pride and love of the land insure quality in every product.

HOW IT’S MADE

It all begins with juicy, tart cherries, fresh from our family orchards in central Washington. The ripe fruit is rushed to the processing plant where it is carefully washed and pressed.  The cherry juice is then extracted, and a concentrate is made and pasteurized with state-of-the-art equipment, according to strict industry regulations.  Safety-sealed containers of the cherry concentrate are transported in a refrigerated truck to the bottling plant. Here, designated “filling rooms” have been sterilized, in preparation for the bottling process. Employees who have been specially trained in product handling and sanitation oversee the bottling.  The sparkling bottles are labeled, boxed and on their way to grocery shelves and on-line customers, brimming with fresh-from-the-orchard taste.
